Pergola on Egypt Lane
This was a project that spanned about 3 months with a considerable amount of back and forth between the designer, client and architect. The client was interested in adding a lounge area to the existing pool and landing in the backyard which ended up being a pergola with fire pit and outdoor shower. The current residence that sits on the property has pink siding, hence the color choices by the designer. The renders shown below are the full daytime rendering set of the finalized design.
This first view is of the proposed pergola, flanking pavilions, and fire pit, as viewed from the existing home. The pool already exists and the structure was designed to enhance the backyard and make the pool area more recreational.
This is a view of the existing guest house located on the property. I was not obligated to model it, however doing so allowed me to create more realistic and comprehensive views for the project.
This is the view of the proposed path leading from the existing home to the firepit. The intent is to lay a gravel path, create a canopy of trees and plantings along the sides that run it’s length.

This is a perspective view as seen from the North, just behind the gravel path.
This is a view from the fire pit area. This render was important as it gave the client a good idea of how visible the pool would be when sitting here since the initial design had the structure level with the ground with the brick wall being non-existent.
This is somewhat of a bird’s eye view of the fire pit area which generally shows what the available seating area is like.
Here we start to enter the North pavilion. The initial design had this room built out as a small kitchen. That plan was changed and the client requested I incorporate a specific type of Moroccan table, which I modeled and rendered here. Also the shuttered doors were added to provide some type of protection form the elements during the off-season.
This is the main seating area under the pergola. The designer had wanted a specific type of Moroccan type furniture which I modeled for this project. The Wisteria vines were also specially requested.
This view is from the North end of the Pergola and depicts what the view of the pool would look like from this point of view.

Another view from under the pergola, looking towards the North pavilion. You can see there are shuttered doors on the opposite side of the North pavilion as well.
This view depicts what the view of the pool and guest house would look like when viewed from the Southern end of the pergola.
This view shows in detail the shuttered windows as envisioned by the designer. The hanging Moroccan lamps were specially requested for this project and modeled from screenshots of the existing lamp.
Here is what the walk-space between the vertical pergola beams and the brick wall would look and feel like.
The Southern pavilion houses a bathroom and changing room.
At the Southern end of the structure we have an outdoor shower. Originally it had been enclosed, however the client was interested in leaving it open and having some sort of large planting that could act as a type of privacy screen as seen in this image.
Looking into the shower area located outside the Southern pavilion. This really is a general conceptualizing showing how the outdoor shower, the necessary fixtures, and the planting acting as a privacy screen could look and feel.
Another View of the Southern pavilion looking across at the guest house. The rear of the structure can be here as well.

All 3D models and structures were created by me except where mentioned below. The landscaping and flora comes from various Archmodels collections.
